The Schizophrenia Society of Alberta needs your support of our 2023 “See Me, Not My Illness” Annual Fundraising Campaign.
We chose this name because 96% of people living with schizophrenia experience discrimination and stigma in their daily lives, affecting their willingness to seek early treatment, and making it difficult for them to find employment and housing.
At the SSA, we provide a safe non-judgmental place for our clients to be themselves and to get the help they need. We proudly share this note from a dear friend of Diana, who lives with schizophrenia, accesses our programs and is employed with us:
Our programs make a difference for individuals living with schizophrenia and their families. In a time of rising costs and an increased demand for our services, we’ve also experienced a decrease in funding. This severely affects our ability to maintain our programs and services at the current level.
Our Annual Fundraising Campaign runs until December 31st, and we need your help to reach our goal of $175,000! Contributions of any amount are appreciated and important to ensure we can sustain our current level of supports and meet the increased demand.
Successful recovery stories like Diana’s are possible with the help of generous supporters like you! Please make your donation today, and help us continue to support recovery and instill hope.
